About
Jeffrey started his career twenty years ago as an Assistant District Attorney in Suffolk County, where for two years he was in a court room virtually every day, working closely with judges and defense attorneys to negotiate plea-bargains and sentences, whether that be counseling or community service or jail, and would take cases to trial when necessary. He then spent nearly four years in private practice representing corporate and private clients in State and Federal Courts across the country, first in a large firm on Long Island and then in a smaller practice in Albany. When he arrived back in this area he also joined the law guardian panel in Saratoga County and would be regularly assigned to represent children and teenagers in Family Court matters.

Center For Family Jeffrey eventually returned to public service, and to law enforcement, when he was appointed Deputy Counsel for the New York State Board of Elections. Among other responsibilities, he conducted investigations of alleged violations of the State Election Law, including the Campaign Finance Laws. He then left the Board of Elections as of January 1, 2000, to begin his four-year tenure as Saratoga Springs City Attorney, where he was immersed in practically every issue, legal and otherwise, that made its way through City Hall. At the same time he opened an office in the city to resume his private practice. Since that time he has been representing individual and corporate clients in litigated matters in local justice courts and city courts, and in trial and appeals courts across the state.

The qualification for City Court Judge that Jeffrey is most proud of having, however, is a deep-rooted understanding of the community and a demonstrated commitment to the quality of life here. He grew up in Saratoga Springs, as did his father and grandfather, and he returned here to raise his children and to become involved in the public life of the city. He looks forward to the prospect of using and sharing his unique insight and passion for the law and for the community to make a positive difference in the lives of people who may appear before him in City Court.

Jeff and his Wife, Marylou both graduated from Saratoga High School, class of 1977. Their two older daughters, Jennifer and Arielle, also graduated from Saratoga High School. Kate will be a Junior next Fall.
